Corporate History

The Company was established on the 15 August 2001 as the successor vehicle to the SR Pan-European Investment Trust, which was wound up on the same date. Many investors, alongside the Directors and Investment Manager of the previous company, chose to roll existing holdings into the Company.

Sloane Robinson were appointed as the investment manager of the SR Pan-European Investment Trust from 3 March 1995. The Articles of SR Pan-European Investment Trust PLC provided that the Company should be wound up on 31 October 2001. Following a successful scheme of reconstruction, a successor trust, SR Europe Investment Trust PLC, was established on 15 August 2001. Sloane Robinson continued as the Investment Manager of the new Company.
